Renewal of Passports

  • a.Processing Fee- CHF 250.00
  • b.The form must be submitted with 4 colour passport size photographs (full face).
  • c.Original Police Report indicating loss of passport.
  • d.Copy of resident permit

Applying for passport for the first time

  • a. Processing Fee- CHF 250.00
  • b. The form must be submitted with 4 colour passport size photographs (full face).
  • c. Birth Certificate (both original and photocopy).
  • d. Copy of parent’s passport on which applicant travelled on from Ghana
  • e. Copy of resident permit of witness

    Missing/Damaged Passports

    The loss of the passport must be reported to the local police and obtain a police report together with copies of the missing Passport or birth certificate.
    Requirements
    • a.Processing Fee- CHF 350.00
    • b.The form must be submitted with 4 colour passport size photographs (full face).
    • c.Original Police Report indicating loss of passport.
    • d.Copies of the missing passport or Birth Certificate (both original and photocopy).
    • e.Completed declaration forms one of which should be notarized.
    • f.Photo ID (colour copy).
    • g.Processing Period could take up to 8 weeks from the date of receipt of application.
      • Please note: i. The witness (no. 15 on application form), must be a Ghanaian who has a resident permit and gainfully employed.
    • ii. Please include a copy of the witness’ resident permit
    • iii.The guarantors (no.11 on the application form) can be relatives in country of residence.

    Effecting Change of name

    • a. Processing Fee- CHF 250.00
    • b. The form must be submitted with 4 colour passport size photographs (full face).
    • c. Declaration of Name Change from a Superior Court of Ghana and the accompanying Gazette. (People who wish to adopt their Spouse’s name can complete the declaration form below and submit it with a valid Marriage Certificate)
    • d. Copy of resident permit
